Oh How Sweet It Is!

Ready for church and being especially sweet. It's amazing that such sweet looking boys can get into so much mischief!

2007 Fun Run at the ZOO

It was the first Saturday morning in May when crowds of 'camera ready' parents stood at the finish line in great anticipation. There were many high-fives, grins from ear to ear and a few tears as racers either ran, walked, wobbled or were carried across the finish line. For many a 3 year old, this was the longest run of their lives!

PROUD AS CAN BE

A big day for Mitchell this May 4th has been. Today was the first day he rode his bike without training wheels. He was so proud of himself!! His inspiration and determination came from Carson, a friend in the neighborhood who is also 5 years old. Mitchell saw Carson without his training wheels and he asked if he could try. When he instantly 'got it' Daddy quickly removed Mitchell's training wheels and the showing off began.

Whoever said, "they grow up so fast", really meant it.

MAY MAYHEM

May brings many wonderful activities to the Guyer family. There is much to look forward to but not without a little mayhem in the process. For us May includes:

Spring (at last), Lori's best friend's birthday, the "Fun Run" at the zoo, Scott traveling to Portland for a week, the birthdays of our sisters-in-law, Quinn's best buddy turning three, Mother's Day, our wedding anniversary, and most exciting of all is Memorial Day weekend which is the official kick-off to the camping and fishing season. It is that weekend when our family and several friends make the journey to Homer. Some of those on this journey are in hot pursuit of halibut; others seeking a weekend out of Anchorage; others chasing dogs, skipping rocks on the beach and running free; others relaxing by the ocean and taking in the beauty of Homer; and everyone enjoying time with friends, creating lasting memories together and eating way too many s'mores!

God continues to bless the "Alaskan Guyers" with riches beyond our wildest dreams. With two little boys in the house, God's blessings are right before our eyes. They keep us real, remind us of what's important and bring joy to our lives.
